Iakovos-Antonios Armaos is the Head and Founder of efrata. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of Communication Consulting, Strategic Planning, Media Relations, and Public Affairs, working on behalf of a large number of companies and organizations in both the public and private sectors in Greece and the European Union.
Iakovos co-founded and served as Vice President of the Center for the Promotion of Island Policy (KEPRONIPO).
He holds a PhD in Political Philosophy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also holds a Master’s degree in Political Communication Studies from City St. George’s, University of London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Iakovos has published numerous articles and has spoken in the media and at conferences both in Greece and abroad.
He is the author of two books: “Reality Resists,” Plithora, Eurasia Publications, 2025, and “Tomorrow Yesterday May Come,” Plithora, Eurasia Publications, 2020. He is also the author of the chapter “On Education and the Internet” in the book “Audiovisual Media in the Age of the Pandemic,” edited by Kostas Theologou and Giorgos Arampatzis, published by Ellinoekdotiki, 2022.
He is fluent in English and French.
